The program's guidelines in Sciences and Scientific Research

* Developing the system of scientific research and reinforcing the common Arab efforts in its different fields, developing the financial and moral conditions and attaching importance to the human side in dealing with scientific issues and the fields of scientific and technological ethics.
* Defining the applied scientific research having common priority in the Arab states, which Arab universities and scientific centers can carry out through common groups of work among universities.
* Taking more advantage from the international centers for experimental and applied sciences.
* Reinforcing the Arab efforts made to transfer technology and adapt it to the needs of the Arab environment.
* Getting assistance of immigrating Arab brains particularly in the fields of training.
* Reinforcing the efforts made with regard to the requirements and challenges of permanent development and providing enough care to the Arab individual's scientific culture.
* Providing priority to sciences in the programs and activities of the Organization with regard to reinforcing and studying the most important issues in the Arab states such as:

- Reinforcing the mechanisms which enable taking advantage from the research results at universities and the Arab research centers so as to promote the activities of the development programs.
- Preserving the environment : water resources, desertification, earthquakes, rising temperatures and biological diversity.
