The program's guidelines in Communication and Information

* Achieving cooperation and complementarity between state and national efforts in using information technologies, communication and training skilled people in the following fields :digitizing the modern technologies and adapting them, linguistic industries, aids and terminals, making programs and software programs.
* Encouraging scientific research in fields of applied technologies and its communicative uses in culture, education and leisure as well as in the economies of cultural industries and their systems.
* Enhance the Arabic language in the computing industries.
* Founding an Arab cultural satellite channel having a national aspect.
* Setting up executive programs for an Arab strategy in the computing field (information technologies) having requirements which will enable the use of Arabic on Internet.
* Reinforcing the efforts made to take advantage from international and Arab experience in developing the national communication and information networks and Internet and in setting up databases specialized in the Organization's fields of work.
* Using information technologies in the communication fields by completing the VSAT infrastructure and operating it within the terminal stations in the Arab states so as to undertake distance communication operations through the Arab satellite, in addition to enlarging the Organization's website on Internet, cooperating with the Organization's technical offices and external bodies to enrich this website with the available databases and exchange connections with educational and cultural websites in the Arab states.
* Working on connecting the Organization's databases on Internet to similar databases belonging to regional and international organizations and bodies.
* Taking more advantage from the data available on the Organization's website and vary its windows.
* Preparing a reference framework for using information technologies so as to develop the educational system while taking advantage from international and measurement levels in this field.
* Doing research and studies aiming at achieving practical conceptions of the best use of information technologies as an educational means which will enrich the curricula and help cope with the effects of misusing the computer.
* Setting up a website for higher education and scientific research in the Arab world and encouraging the use of information technologies and Internet in distance learning.
